The South coast of Milos

Sea Kayak MILOS

Provatas headland

Composed of sedimentary limestone rock.  Rich in iron oxides, the reds and oranges make a spectacular backdrop in the late afternoon light, contrasting the shallow, blue waters.

The eastern end of the beach has a large shallow sandbar, unusual for Milos beaches.  When the wind is from the south, a good surf break is created.
