Sea Kayaking Day Trips
A single day trip is a great way to see Milos
Our kayaking adventure trips explore remote sections of coast.
A seven hour day allows for:
- 1 hour travel and set-up time
- 3-4 hours paddling
- 2-3 hours out-of-kayak time for swimming, snorkeling, relaxing and lunch.
Trips are planned on a day-to-day basis. We will make the best trip possible given the conditions and experience of the participants. On a typical day you can expect to encounter sea caves, narrow passages, rock gardens, huge cliffs, secluded coves and deserted beaches. Sometimes we cross to deserted islands.
For those considering 2 or more day trips, we guarantee a different trip every day.
The actual route will be chosen the evening before, based on the latest weather forecast

Trips are planned according to the wind direction, therefore it is not known which trip will take place on any given day, until the evening before. It will be a different trip each day, with no repeats within 7 days.
Both double and single kayaks are available to all persons on all trips. Double kayaks are useful for matching up paddlers of different strengths and are a great advantage on windy days, as they offer increased efficiency and stability.
For those with at least some kayaking experience we recommend you can choose form our wide variety of single kayaks, see our equipment page for a full list of models available
- Your safety is our main concern. At the launch site, you will be given briefing and safety instruction. We will not begin our journey until everyone a good understanding of how handle a kayak and what to expect once underway.
Most certainly. Anyone with at least moderate fitness can participate. Once on the beach and you are properly fitted into your kayak, you will be given a full safety briefing and basic introduction to paddling technique. On the water we paddle as a group. You will learn to paddle by the best way possible – by doing – coaching tips will be provided, as required. We will be kayaking for no more than one hour, at a relaxed pace before the first stop. Here you can relax, swim and snorkel and enjoy the places that are only accessible by kayak. After another hour paddling we will stop for a generous lunch break, then another hour paddling to finish at around 5.30pm.
Yes. As an experienced paddler you will be free to roam, while the less-experienced are kept in closer check. A typical day-trip involves generous breaks where some may like to swim and relax, while others may prefer to practice their roll or other skills. There is always the option to paddle a little further or faster for those that want. As there is always 2 guides on the, we can split the group in necessary.
A Moderate level of fitness is required. Distances paddled each day will range from 12 to 16km, or about 3 hours paddling, usually with two beach breaks and several rest periods in the boats. A good level of physical fitness will allow you to enjoy the trip much more. In addition, windy, and/or rough conditions may require a prolonged period of physical exertion. A bit of stamina and a good attitude are essential in such conditions!
Strong wind can occur at any time of year. When it is windy, we always plan the trip on the sheltered side of the island. About twice per month it is too windy to run a trip. In this case you can reschedule for the following days or cancel for free.
