Surfing at Mitikas beach.  When the north wind blows, the biggest and best surf can be found at Mitikas beach. A force 6 wind, which occurs about once a week, will create a 1-1.5m wave.

Please note:  Surfing sea kayaks in waves of this size requires lots of skill and experience.  On strong wind days there is always sheltered water on the other side of the island, or smaller waves for surfing practice.
